Looking for extra support to reach your weight & health goals?

Join the Weight Control in 12 Weeks Group Program!!

What: The Weight Control Center at Columbia University Medical Center is offering an interactive weight management program led by a registered dietitian. The program focuses on making long-term changes for a healthier lifestyle. Each group session involves discussions exploring the benefits, barriers and thoughts around changing old habits and establishing new, healthier habits. The focus of the program is on realistic goal setting and action plan formulation to allow each participant to execute their personalized plan. Self-monitoring is strongly emphasized and handouts will be provided at each session to enhance learning and self-exploration.  The program is adapted from successful behavior-based research studies. This will be a 12-week group with up to 7 participants.  Each session will last 60 minutes, which includes a private weigh-in and handouts. The small group format is intended to give everyone a voice during the session and allow for individualized attention.  Due to the nature of the small group format, attending meetings regularly and on-time is important for all group members
