Minaya Deli Grocery, located at 2262 Second Avenue in East Harlem, is one of our participating Fresh Bodegas sites. Enrique Minaya, an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, is the owner of Minaya Grocery. Minaya Deli Grocery joined Fresh Bodegas in January 2024 after participating in the Healthy Bodegas Initiative from the NYC Department of Health. Committed to increasing access to fresh produce, Enrique made space for the Fresh Bodegas unit by the front of the store by removing a large soft drink refrigerator.
