Are you working on a community service project in your neighborhood? Do you have an idea for a project that will benefit your community? Do you need a little bit of money to make your ideas/project come true?
The Karma for Cara Foundation (K4C) supports youth volunteers and is inviting kids 18 years old and under to apply for grants between $250 and $1,000 to complete service projects in their communities! Ideas for projects may be creating an urban garden, rebuilding a playground, building a storage room at a food kitchen, or helping senior citizens make repairs in their homes. K4C wants to hear what you're passionate about and how you plan to make a difference in your community. If you are interested in applying for a K4C grant, download the application which is due October 1. For more information, check out their website.
If you feel like you need help funding a project or getting started with volunteering, reach out to your BridgeUP fellow or BeWell Co-Director Renee Cohall, LCSW at (646) 245-4000.
