This is a rare opportunity for someone you may know.

This summer we will be leading a special media making program in the community gardens of West Harlem.  Six young women from Community Board Nine (Hamilton Heights, Morningside Heights and Manhattanville) will be selected to be trained in video production and distribution by creating short documentaries about community gardens and showing them in parks and gardens around the city.

    These workshops START SOON!

Posted here is the flyer (can be seen when clicking "View Larger") with more information and the application form which need to be received by June 30

Please print out and distribute to your friends and associates. They must be returned to the West Harlem Development Corp, 423 West 127th Street, NYC. attn: Green Screen by June 30 or emailed to deedeehalleck@gmail.com.

This program follows a successful training program which was funded by the WHDC last summer, in which seven girls learned computer and graphic programming skills. The web site for that project is at http://harlemny.deepdishwavesofchange.org/

This year's workshop will be added to that website.

Please help us identify young women for this fun and creative project!
