On July 25, 2024, National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS, Inc. (NBLCA) and Coalition on Positive Empowerment (C.O.P.E.) will commemorate the 2nd Annual African American Hepatitis C Action Day by hosting a Community Fair on the Plaza of the Harlem State Office Building located at 163 West 125th Street, Harlem, NY 10027.
NBLCA is dedicated to the development and implementations of initiatives to assist Black/African American communities navigate through the shifting landscape of Hepatitis C and other health disparities. The fair will consist of organizations, agencies and corporations in housing, education, environment, health, financial, etc. We are confident that as a respected Healthcare Provider you will want to support our ongoing efforts to provide free screenings, guidance and resources to our community residents. We would appreciate your commitment to participating in this year’s event by asking that you complete the attached Action Day Provider Registration Form and returning it to Leatrice Wactor: lwactor@nblca.org; or fax 212-614-0508, no later than July 7, 2024.
It is estimated the Action Day Community Fair will attract 1,500 community residents that will have the opportunity to be screened for Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, STI’s, prostate and colon cancer, hypertension, diabetes and asthma to name just a few of the screenings that will be provided. Additionally, the Action Day Community Fair will be widely covered by the local press and television media.
This is truly an outreach event that you will not want to miss. Working together, we can accomplish great things. Our unified commitment to advocating and promoting healthy living and lifestyles will assist in sending a positive message to our community residents.
