I came across this article this morning talking about how McDonald's McNuggets are only 50% chicken! And no, the other 50% isn't the breading - it's mainly unnatural ingredients that someone would never be able to use in their own home kitchens. By now, I've gotten the point that fast food is unhealthy, but I wouldn't have ever guessed that there would be things like dimethyl polysiloxane, "a type of silicone with anti-foaming properties used in cosmetics and a variety of other goods like Silly Putty", in my nuggets. Pretty gross stuff - our bodies are definitely not designed to digest these kinds of things.
Anyway, check out the article. It might persuade you to cut your fast food intake in half, or even cut it out of your diet entirely... or maybe not.. but at least you'll know what you're eating.
