Key words: Health Info, Walking, Brain Size.

A new study found that walking six to nine miles a week may keep the brain size same. Normally our brain decreases in size at old age and these lead to poor memory. Scientists say these results would help in doing other studies for stopping ‘Dementia’ & ‘Alzheimer’s disease’. Scientist’s result was that people who walk the most have almost half the chance of having memory problem in future. This study was done by University of Pittsburgh.

Walking has several benefits; apart from the above study result, it is also useful in keeping high blood pressure, high blood sugar and high cholesterol under control. It also helps in lowering weight and decrease stress.
