Q: What is your profession? Where do you work?
A: I am a writer, personal trainer and health coach, and I create and direct outdoor fitness programs. I work in my home office and in New York City parks. My desire to educate and support people in their efforts to be healthier is what ties all of my jobs together.
Q: What do you do to stay healthy?
A: I get at least 30 minutes a day of moderate intensity physical activity, follow a low-glycemic eating plan, take a reasonable amount of high quaility nutrional supplements, and pay attention to stress, rest, and sleep. I do all this and find time for fun and pleaureable healthy activities, like yoga and flamenco dance. I also enjoy eating roasted vegetables and small amounts of dark chocolate.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Harlem?
A: Visit the parks and listen to music.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Movies, museums, music, visiting the ocean, traveling, and biking along the west side greenway.
