  • GetHealthyHarlem.org's articles are written by Harlem Health Promotion Center (HHPC) staff using the name "Editor." All articles written by "Editor" are reviewed by our Health Advisory Board (HAB) to make sure they are correct and complete. Our HAB is made up of health professionals, some of whom work independently in the community; others are connected with schools such as Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and Touro College of Pharmacy; others work at Harlem Hospital Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center, North General Hospital, or community clinics. These HAB members are an important part of the GetHealthyHarlem.org website because their work in this community allows them to provide information that is tailored to site users. The HAB is also an important part of the website's Honesty on the Net (HON) certification that requires all content to be reviewed by health professionals and updated regularly.

For information about what the letters following each advisory board member's name mean, please see the end of this page. Please note: The information provided on GetHealthyHarlem.org does not replace the relationship between you and your health care provider.
