The launch will feature exhibitors, focused on healthy eating, exercise, prevention of tobacco use, and avoidance of harmful alcohol use.
Participants include: the Pan American Health Organization’s Executive Director, the Commissioner of NYC Dept. of Health, messages from around the world including those from Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, to name a few; also on hand, representatives from the World Economic Forum, companies interested in workplace wellness initiatives, AARP, Humana, Emblem health, Harlem Hospital, elected officials, delegates of the United Nations, NYAM and more.
On the Plaza of the Harlem State Office Building: The plaza will be filled with a farmer’s market, goodie bags, tee-shirts, resource tables from city agencies, a karate exhibition, restaurants preparing healthy options, including the Red Rooster.
Friday, we show the community, domestic and international, all the positive health programming happening in Harlem communities.
