ONGOING EVENT UNTIL FEBRUARY 11, 2024
Transformation & Triumph!, a visual art display featuring Clock Strikes 13 (assemblage art by visual artist/breast cancer survivor Wilhelmina Grant) and Still Celebrating Life (a collection of cancer survivor portraits by photographer Sylvia Dunnavant) will hold its opening reception at CLOTH (Community League of the Heights) Technology Center, 2113B Amsterdam Avenue (165st Street), Washington Heights, New York, NY on Saturday, January 14, 2024 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. The meet and greet segment of the event will also feature a number of the survivors highlighted in Still Celebrating Life remotely via Skype from Texas and other distant locales.
Transformation & Triumph! is free, open to the public and encourages the attendance of cancer survivors, their families, friends, healthcare providers and students. Light refreshments will be served and early detection information will be provided in English and Spanish. The exhibition will remain on display through February 11, 2024. The closing reception is scheduled for February 11 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
