Just recently the New York State Department of Health released a health bulletin on high blood pressure. This bulletin gives helpful information to people who have high blood pressure or who may be likely to get this disease–one in four adult New Yorkers have high blood pressure. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, having high blood pressure means that the pressure of the blood in your blood vessels is higher than it should be.
The high blood pressure health bulletin lets New Yorkers know about the dangers of high blood pressure; and gives steps people can take to control or prevent high blood pressure. This bulletin gives New Yorkers a better understanding of what this disease is, how to treat it, and the other health conditions a person can develop overtime when they have high blood pressure. These health conditions include stroke and heart attack, both of which are very serious and can even lead to death.
