What can I expect when I come to pick up my share?
When you arrive at the site, someone will check off your name on the sign-in sheet and collect your montly installment (if applicable). Copies of our monthly recipes and tip sheets will be available in case you are unfamiliar with any items or need cooking ideas.
The produce is displayed in green bins with a sign on the front indicating the item and how much you should take. For example: Potatoes, 4. Place them in your own bag or cart. (CHRF does not provide bags or boxes for carrying produce.) Your Site Leader will be able to answer any questions about the items you’re receiving. If there’s anything you don’t want, you can use the “Swap Box” to exchange it for another item, one for one.

That is a great deal! Especially since winter produce, like squash, is really heavy and the supermarket usually charges you by the pound. I am going to check the pick up sites and join for the winter.
