Vertical Farms
Wouldn't it be great if we had the room to grow all the fresh vegetables we need in New York City? With Columbia University Professor Dickson Despommier's cool new idea about Vertical Farms, that might soon be reality. Vertical Farms are farms inside city high-rises. This type of futuristic vision of farming is intended to provide fresh and affordable locally grown vegetables to people living in urban areas while also improving the air quality. Check out this link to see Dr. Despommier talking about his revolutionary new idea on Comedy Central's Colbert Report.
