A new minimally invasive laparoscopic treatment of uterine fibroids
One of the newest minimally invasive treatments for fibroids is radiofrequency ablation. In this technique the fibroid is shrunk by inserting a needle-like device into the fibroid through the abdomen and heating it with low frequency electrical currents. This new treatment is still under investigation in a Phase 3 clinical trial across 6 cities including New York.
The treatment is a potential option for women who have fibroids, have completed child-bearing and want to avoid a hysterectomy.

Flag as inappropriateIt is a verified trial and is listed on clinicaltrials.gov. I posted this because fibroids are slightly more common in african american women and I thought this would be useful to the community. I agree with the publisher that before agreeing to any medical procedure, make sure you check with your doctor. Good Luck and God Bless.
