Is Your Waist Measurement Putting You at Risk for Heart Attack?

We're not just talking about looks here--it's not what you weigh only--it's where the exra body fat is.  And the more weight you carry around your waist, the more at risk you are for heart disease and diabetes. Find out your risk on Sunday, when I'll be measuring waists and offering solutions to achieving a healthier waist size.

So, if you're in town, and if you want a short break from the beautiful weather on Sunday, take a walk through Fort Tryon Park (in gorgeous early spring bloom)  and then drop by the Y on Nagle. I'll be giving an overview of the fabulous weight loss program called Transitions, from 2:00 PM-2:45 PM or so. The folks in my past and current groups have gotten excellent results--3 and more inches off the waist, 10 inches lost overall--in just the first month! And, they are cheerful and energetic, not grumpy and hungry.  In addition, my colleague Edya Kalev will be giving a MELT yoga talk and demo from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM as well, so you can catch us both! Both of our presentations are free.
