LIFESTYLE CHANGES
Hello everyone!! I’m a pharmacy student from Touro college of Pharmacy right here in Harlem. I’m so excited to be blogging about pharmacy related news. Today, I decided I will share some information about lifestyle changes. Lifestyle changes is a change in your daily habits such as eating, smoking and physical activity. These changes can make you healthier. I was recently talking to a 58 year old pharmacist who I use to work with and he told me he has never been put on medications in his life. He also said that his 83 year old father has never been put on prescription medications. I was impressed and blown because I have always felt, it is almost impossible to see anyone at that age without a single medication. I guess he must have seen the expression on my face because he went ahead to say all he did was eat healthy and exercising daily.
Well everyone, I know it’s hard to wake up one morning and stop bad habits just because your doctor or pharmacist told you so, but to improve your health, you just have to take baby steps until you can make the change. Some of the changes you can make to become healthier is by exercising daily, changing the type and amount of food you eat, eat lots of vegetables, limit the amount of alcohol you drink, and quit smoking. After you make any of these changes, you will see and feel healthier. You can do it…..LIVE HEALTHY, STAY HEALTHY!!!
