About us

The Dance Theatre of Harlem School is a cultural, social and educational institution committed to providing young people of diverse backgrounds with an opportunity to train in the art of classical ballet and the allied arts. The School currently offers over half of its students scholarships and tuition assistance made possible through public and private support.

Our positive presence in Harlem offers individuals a safe haven to explore and express themselves emotionally and physically. The School’s comprehensive program encourages creativity and strives to instill discipline and self-esteem, allowing students to develop to their fullest potential and excel as exemplary members to the community at large.
