  • YUM Program: Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Bundles Every Wednesday for Washinton Heights and Inwood

    Fresh and affordable produce year-round!

    There are 4 types of orders:

    • all fruits
    • all vegetables
    • mixed (fruits and vegetables), small size
    • mixed, large family size

    Order by Friday and pick up on Wednesday of the next week. Bundles are $12 each, except for large family size which is $20. YUM takes cash, checks, and SNAP (EBT).

    There are 3 pick up locations:

    Isabella Geriatric Center, Coffee Shop
    515 Audubon Ave. (at 190th St.)
    pick up: 2 pm - 5pm

    Isabella Senior Resource Center
    4026 Broadway (at 169th St.)
    pick up: 2 pm - 4:30 pm

    Community League of the Heights
    509 West 159th St (between Broadway and Amsterdam)
    pick up: 2 pm - 4:30 pm

    Each bundle is a mix of different types of produce, plus a surprise rare item that may be new to you! How well do you know your fruits and vegetables?

    YUM Fresh Food for Northern Manhattan, part of the Community Experience Partnership, is a project of Isabella and GrowNYC and is funded by Atlantic Philanthropies and New York Community Trust.

    I got this information from a health fair. The organization is also senior-run, but you can be any age to order the produce or volunteer. If these pick up times and locations work for you, I am sure you will pleased with tons of food for a fraction of supermarket costs.
