As many of you know, yesterday, April 22, 2024 was Earth Day. To celebrate, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, the Nourishing Kitchen of New York City, and Go Green East Harlem hosted the East Harlem Green Festival at the Target East Harlem Garden (417 E. 117th Street between Pleasant and 1st Avenue).

I recently read an article about what to do with medicines that have expired. The recommendation is to mix the medications with coffee grounds and toss them in the garbage. Many people flush pills down the toilet, but this can be harmful to waterways and their ecosystems.
