In 2024, fitness instructor and public health researcher, Nancy Bruning, MPH, designed a fitness guide with the New York Parks and Recreation Department, the Fort Tryon Park Trust, Partnerships for Parks, and Scott Stringer's Go Green campaign. The guide, titled "Let's Get Moving: a Fitness Guide to Fort Tryon Park," shows exercises that people can do in their local parks. Although the map and guide was created for Fort Tryon Park in Northern Manhattan, the images and exercises can be used in any park.
