Good day for a run :)
I went for a 2.1 mile run! The longest I've run so far, and I actually felt "good" doing it. (and by "good" I mean - I didn't feel like hell the whole time.)

My running adventures: back at square one
Sooo it's officially been 9 days since I last attempted to run and had that awful fall. With my wounds scabbed over I finally decided I needed to get back out for another run. So when my body woke me up especially early this morning, I figured I'd seize the moment and go for a run.

The Runner's Walk of Shame
After a long, fun weekend away on the Jersey shore that did not include any running (or any Snooki-like scenarios), I decided I needed to "get back on the horse" so to speak and get my butt out for a nice(?) 2-mile run this morning. Lacking the motivation, like last week, I turned to a friend who sent me a link to

Running... out of motivation
So I've suprisingly been keeping at this whole running thing for the second week in a row. Originally only hoping to run every other day, I've been running pretty much every weekday that I've been home. Although my quads aren't hurting nearly as much as they did at the beginning, I'm still surprised that running isn't getting any easier.

Another week, another run
After a wonderfully relaxing and run-free Labor Day weekend, I decided to go for another run this morning. Even though I took three days off, which would normally warrant a lot of self-criticism and disappointment, I decided to look at it in another light. I decided to focus on my achievements instead of my failures, so this morning I patted myself on the back for running so much LAST week, l

Slow and steady wins the race
Today marked my fourth day of getting back on track to a healthier lifestyle (I took yesterday off). I ran/walked 3.2 miles today (I probably ran about 1.5 total - not straight; and walked another 1.7 miles). I've been using the website www.gmap-pedometer.com
Unathletic State of Mind
Throughout my life I have always excused my laziness by categorizing myself as "unathletic". In grade school and High School I joined various sports teams in an effort to find something that I was good at. The search turned out to be futile. Dance wasn't my sport, because I wasn't graceful enough. Lacrosse wasn't my sport, because I wasn't aggressive enough. Volleyball wasn't my
